I am going to merge the PR even though the system-testing is failing. The failure has nothing to do with the testing logic, instead it has to do with CI issues when calling docker compose. I will debug this soon, but I don't want to block the production deployment due to a CI issue (which I have already spent a few hours trying to debug).
